Prerequisites
Prerequisites for getting started with FiveM.
We recommend installing Visual Studio Code (for creating and editing scripts) and 7-Zip (for unpacking server files), as these tools make the process much easier. While there are alternatives you can use, our video guides are based on this software. Furthermore, it is recommended to enable the option in Windows to always show file extensions.
Creation of Cfx.re account
If you have an Cfx.re account, you can skip this step.
A Cfx.re account is needed in order to set up your server at a later point.
Create a Cfx.re account
- Go to the Cfx.re Forum and click Sign up in the top-right corner.
- Enter your email, username, and password, then click Sign up.
- Check your email inbox for a confirmation message and follow the link to activate your Cfx.re account.
Once confirmed, you’ll be automatically signed in and ready to go. Your Cfx.re account is created.
